Seagry Manor Home for Babies, Chippenham, Wiltshire

In 1940, the Waifs and Strays Society opened a home for babies at Seagry Manor, near Chippenham in Wiltshire. The home was used for the wartime evacuation of children from the Victoria Gibbs Memorial Home for Babies in Bristol.

The home was closed in 1943 and the residents transferred to the Fairfield Home for Babies in Bath.
