Woodlands, Chirk, near Wrexham, Denbighshire

From 1943 to April 1945, a Barnardo's wartime "Woodlands" evacuation centre operated at Chirk, near Wrexham, Denbighshire (though technically located in England, the home is usually described as being in Wales). The home particularly catered for brothers and sisters.
