Orphan and Emigration Home (Canadian Home for Friendless Girls), Edinburgh, Midlothian, Scotland
In 1871, the Orphan and Emigration Home, also known as the Canadian Home for Friendless Girls, was founded by Mr Margaret Blaikie at 6 Lauriston Lane, Edinburgh.
The home closed in 1891, by which date it had organised the emigration to Canada of around 300 children. The building no longer exists.
