Bishop's Palace, Ripon, West Riding of Yorkshire
In 1940, a Barnardo's evacuation centre for girls was set up at the Bishop's (or Episcopal) Palace on Palace Road, Ripon.
In 1950, the home became Barnardo's Spring Hill School, a residential establishment for children with special needs, which still operates today.
