High Close, Wokingham, Berkshire

The High Close Barnardo's Home for girls and small children opened in 1946 on Wiltshire Road, Wokingham. Two years later, the home became a school for children with learning disabilities, focusing on older girls from 1967.

The site, now known as High Close School, still operates as a mixed residential and day school for 7-18 year olds who have a range of special educational needs.
