The Residence, Woodford Bridge, Essex

In 1957, Barnardo's opened The Residence, a home for maladjusted boys aged 11 or over, at 119 Roding Lane North, Woodford Bridge. In 1966, the home moved into a new building on the site.

The Residence closed in 1971. In more recent times, a special-needs adventure playground has operated on the site.
