Windie Edge, London Road, Southborough, Kent

A Barnardo's evacuation home was opened in 1943 at a house known as Windie Edge on London Road, Southborough, Kent. Originally Holme's Charity School, the house was built in 1786 as a result of a bequest by the Rev. Edward Holme.

Windie Edge closed in 1945. A listed building, it is now privately owned.
