Montagu House, Retford, Nottinghamshire
In September 1956, Montagu House on London Road, Retford, was opened as a Barnardo's reception home. From 1960, it operated as a long-term mixed home for up to twenty children. On its closure in July 1972, some of the then residents were transferred to the Glenfield Frith Cottages near Leicester.
